Camano Island, WA

What an incredible trip to Washington!!! Gail and Rand Nilsson are dear friends who shared their home and knowledge of extraordinary vistas (both floral and mountain), great ice cream and "killer" bread!!! It doesn't get better than that! We can never thank them enough! Since I 'only' took ??? pictures, anyone who knows me will be shocked that I narrowed photos for this blog down to just a few! Believe me! The pictures don't do it justice!

"Gail's Garden" is beyond a lot of the blooming season according to Gail. It still was extraordinary! Tom and I saw the garden 4 years ago after it had been planted. My how they've grown!!! I wish that I could have captured the entire garden in one shot but it wasn't possible. Here are bits and pieces:

Rand, on the other hand, needed a place to keep his new "toy". Just a 'simple' 3-stall garage would do. Oh...and Rand wanted a new roof...and new driveway...and new phone line...and fridge...and security system...and lighting...and...

                                            What a great "man cave"!!!

One of the many trecks that we made was to Rosario Beach. It was beautiful as we began the walk with the fog "rolling" in (literally) and then watched the sun burn it off
and the day become another perfect day.

Well, there we are!

Then, of course, after every hike, comes a scoop of ice cream.
Yes!!! This really IS considered one scoop!!!

Tuesday was our last day with Rand and Gail before they drove us to Bellingham to meet my family. But that is a blog yet to be written. One of their favorite hiking spots is Mt. Baker.
I chose 8 photos out of hundreds and there aren't words to describe the beauty.

It was amazing that the higher we went, the warmer the temperatures became.
The sun was doing its job! We never did have anything but perfect, warm weather!!!

And last but not least...
thanks to our wonderful friends and guides, Gail and Rand.
