The deck is off and the mess cleaned up but we are still waiting on our 2nd estimate.

A Spring In My Walk

Tom and I walked at  Elkhart's Wellfield Botanical Gardens today. It is being developed a little at a time.



Most of the tulips were gone but it was still very pretty.

Last week was the week to see the tulips. Everything was in full bloom!

It will be fun to see this tellis covered with flowers this summer.

It was a nice day for a walk.



Ohhh The Love!

Ohhhh the love of a PopPop for his little girls! They helped make it a joyous Easter!



Easter love: Marley, Tom, Layla and Brent

Brent and the girls went to church with us this morning and then returned to our house to hunt for Easter baskets.

Layla found the first clue! The hunt for the baskets begins!

"We have to go where???"

"Poor JoJo has to keep chasing us all over the house! Who hid these clues anyway???"

"Back upstairs! Here Layla! Read it!"

"I wonder how many more messages are hidden? I want my basket!"

"I FOUND MINE!!!" It's under JoJo's sink! (What a mess!!!)

"What's this? One last message in the bottom of the basket! It says to check out the washer and dryer!
Oh no....do we have to do the laundry???"

It was such a gorgeous day, we took a walk up the hill.

Twas the Day before Easter....

Layla and Marley are ready for the egg "hunt" to begin!

This has been a very difficult week but we made it through. Today the sun came out and the earth warmed up. It was a sign of good things to come.  Some day we'll all look back and realize that everything happens for the best. Thank goodness for a strong loving family support system.

Trinity (UMC) Kids

Today, being Palm Sunday, was a special day at Trinity UMC. After the 1st service, the children all met in the fellowship hall to experience different aspects of Jesus' life during Holy Week.  We began with waving palms and began the rotation of centers.



The children saw foot washing.





This group experienced the communion of the Last Supper.





It's fun to be silly at activity time!

Layla and Marley enjoyed the centers! Much energy goes into preparation for this kind of activity and those teachers and volunteers can be commended for their hard work!
