Rowdy "OLD" Middleburians Eating Out

R.O.M.E.O. (Rowdy Old Middleburians Eating Out) is who we are. We have brunch on Middlebury's 1st day of school but not AT school. We are 'old' and we don't have to go to school any more. For the 3rd year, Dodi and Jack Oxenrider opened their beautiful home to us. If a person is interested in seeing a LOT of pictures of Middlebury Schools staff (of old) having a great time together, here they are:

"The Committee"
Dodi, Jill and Barbara

People began saying goodbye and talking about plans for another year. We had such a great time.
The Gardens were a vision!:

Like something right off of Pinterest!

And the vines were incredible!!!:

These pictures certainly don't do the gardens justice but it's all I could capture.

Thanks to the people that will be the new "committee"! Yipee!!!
They are:

"Not Hungry" Games!

When Kendra and kids walked in the door last Thursday, they didn't say "hello" (well they did) but asked Tom to teach them to play Chess! It's been a few years, so we googled (is that now a verb?) the rules as a reminder and began teaching. Well...PopPop began teaching. They knew the moves of each piece with one sitting! Amazing!

Blake's plastic 5 cent glasses make him soooo smart!
Friday evening, Kendra and Company, Brent and Brood, and Tom and I went to a Silver Hawks game. Nicholas is especially loving the ballgames. The other kids loved the food.

Hi Nicholas! You love this don't you???

L-R: Layla, Nicky, Tom, Lexi, Kendra, Blake

Kendra and Alexis are having a great time!!!

Layla and Marley love being with their cousins.

Brunch on Sundays often means going to the Mayberry. The kids grab pencils and the back of their place mat and get ready to begin Tic-Tac-Toe.

Silverware and creamers make ingenious Tic-Tac-Toe games when you don't have a pencil!!! Good job Blake and PopPop!

Nicholas is always ready with his beautiful smile.
I love these grandkidlets more than chocolate!!!

"Splits" 101

Guess what Alexis has been watching???
"I can do that!"
"Now, let me see what they did."
"Splits!!!"
"Right into a flip and......"

"Ta da!!!"

It was a Gold Medal moment!
