Trinity (UMC) Kids

Today, being Palm Sunday, was a special day at Trinity UMC. After the 1st service, the children all met in the fellowship hall to experience different aspects of Jesus' life during Holy Week.  We began with waving palms and began the rotation of centers.

The children saw foot washing.

This group experienced the communion of the Last Supper.

It's fun to be silly at activity time!

They walked on the road leading to the cross.

Michelle Beyler "guards" the snacks.

Layla and Marley enjoyed the centers! Much energy goes into preparation for this kind of activity and those teachers and volunteers can be commended for their hard work!

2 years old!!!

"I LOVE my birthday presents!"

"My card is just sooooo cute!"

"I'll share my juice with you Aunt Dizzy."

"I'm glad that Mommys can come into the bounce house with me!"

"How high can you jump Nicholas?"

"Is Blake the Captain of his ship?"

"Don't be sad Marley."

"Don't be sad Blake. Aunt Dizzy will make you better."

Back at Layla's house, Nicholas can only dream of owning his own DS like Laylas.

"What is this stuff?"

"I can do it myself!"

"I think I can do it myself....."

"Ymmmmm. I DO like it!"

"What are these silly people doing with my hands???"
HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY TO DEAR ALEXIS!!!

A Winning Smile!

This is the look of a winner!!!
Good for you Blake!

It was a very hot game of UNO!

Lexi was exhausted after the game and after a very exhausting day playing.
Here are some of Lexi's exhausting activities:

 Oh no!!! Not another pirate!

"Give me that camera!"

"I love looking outside!"

Lexi sat on my lap for over a half an hour and just listened (well...most of the time) as I played.

"Can you play Itsy Bitsy Spider?"

Children's Museum

With all the "kids" and grandkids in Noblesville for the weekend, we headed to the Children's Museum. It doesn't get much better than this! Everyone met at the Smith house to get organized. Marley, Alexis and Layla checked out the new birthday chair.

Layla and Lexi

Layla, Nicholas, Lexi, Marley and Blake brunch at Wendy's before the museum.

Marley is the first to try on a costume at the museum.

Blake and Nicky are into Star Wars costumes.

Alexis is into crawling through tunnels and sees her daddy at the other end!

Marley talks on the phone in the Barbie area.

Layla (and Kendra) dress the model in the Barbie area.

Alexis sees a very cute baby!!!

Adorable!

Marley "walks the runway" in the Barbie area.

Alexis and her daddy love playing in the water!

Layla and Nicky play tic-tac-toe while waiting for food at Red Robin.

Marley and Blake share a good giggle while they wait for their food!
It was a great day!

(Oh my goodness....where are the pictures of the parents (besides Jason)??? Oh well...maybe next time.)

Lexi Turns 2!!!!!!! (almost)

How much excitement can there be in one weekend??? Brent, Elizabeth and the girls came to stay with Paula and Ron for the weekend, Butler played (and WON) their game today, and this afternoon Paula decided that we should have a mini-pre-birthday celebration since Lexi will be in Elkhart during her birthday next week. So....after dinner Paula and Ron tell Lexi that they have a present for her. It is a soft, velvet-like pink chair!

"Is this chair for me???"

"Do I get this present too???"

"Oh I just LOVE my presents! Thank you so much!"

"I am just sooooooo excited!"

"Nicky, Blake, Marley and Layla are eating my birthday cupcakes."

"Ummm...hello...what about me?"

"Can I have one?"

"That's ok. I'll have some cake in my bottle tonight. I'll just hug this thing."

"I know I'll get more presents next Thursday! "
"Thank you again Paula and Ron for such a fun day! I love my new chair and my pretty outfits. I loved  the  cupcakes even if noone gave me a bite. They were so pretty. I will miss you next week."
